Weekly Travel App Roundup
Technology is here to stay, so why not take advantage?
I never leave home without my smartphone, and now I can’t even think about going on a trip without my iPad. So, I want to make sure I’ve got everything I need to get from home to vacation with no headaches.
Each month I’ll feature some travel apps that you can use to make sure you are getting the most out of technology to help you to travel.
Once you start traveling outside the US then you’re gonna need to get some new money. From Loonies in Montreal to Pesos in Cancun, Eruos in Paris and Pounds in London, it can be a lot to keep straight.
Since the price of money changes on an hourly basis, I always make sure I keep a currency converter at the ready so I know if I accidentally tipped a cab driver $50 (doh), or found a bar that serves $1 beers (yay).
Easy Currency does just what it says and that’s all we really need. Most of the time when we travel it will just be for a few days, so some big flashy app isn’t really necessary.
Beyond the fact that Easy Currency converts 180+ currencies around the world, what I love about it is that I can set my own personal currencies. Let’s face it, I am not going to need to know about more than Canadian Dollars, Pesos, Euros and Pounds the vast majority of the time I am traveling, so why search around trying to find them?
For a straightforward and easy to use currency app, it doesn’t get any better.
